On January 23, 2016, two Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Benton County (SPSFBC) recipients received the Tyson Scholarship courtesy of Tyson Foods and Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund. C.S. C.S. joined the SPSFBC family in the spring 2013 semester. He is majoring in Computer Engineering at the University of Arkansas and will graduate this semester. C.S. has already secured a job with Dillards in Little Rock working in the IT Department. SPSFBC couldn’t be more proud of his accomplishments, and we look forward to hearing about his many successes during his career.

“SPSFBC is more than just a scholarship…it’s a support system…a family; one that I’m happy to be a part of and I have every intention of completing the cycle of ‘Learn, Earn and Return’ in order to help others the way they have helped me.” – C.S. Carrington

She is starting her junior year at University of Arkansas and is majoring in Environmental, Soil and Water Science with a minor in Animal Science. SPSFBC is very proud of Dayanera’s accomplishments and wish her luck during her junior semester.

“I can not put into words how grateful I am to get this scholarship and how much it means to me. Being a single parent is a tough job…with this scholarship, I have one less item I have to worry about.” – Dayanera Ward

Congratulations again, C.S. and Dayanera. Also, thank you to Richard Williams from Tyson Foods for presenting the scholarships to these two students.
