Bill Fleeman

Bill was born in Pasadena, TX on October 15, 1939 to Homer and Lillian Fleeman, moving to Rogers at a young age. He married Jeannie Wilson in 1958 and they had four children, Billie Jean Reeves, Betsy Greehey, Todd and Bart Fleeman and five grandchildren, Keegan and Shelby Reeves, Madison, Chandler and Trinity Fleeman. Bill personified the free enterprise system, believing passionately in opportunities for self-improvement and self-advancement. He was a partner with his father and brother Leroy, in the Food Town grocery stores. In 1971 he became a builder and land developer. In 1981 he founded Car Mart, which grew to the largest independently owned used car company in the United States. In May 1998 because he was terminally ill, Bill and Jeannie moved to Sarasota, FL where he died a year later. Recognizing that SPSFBC provides opportunities for economic independence and professional advancement, his widow Jeannie presents this memorial in his honor.
