(1933 – 2020)
Dolores was born on December 18, 1933 in Springtown, AR. She graduated Valedictorian of the class of 1952, Gentry, AR. Dolores was an extremely talented vocalist and pianist. At the age of 18 she moved to Tulsa, OK and soon thereafter joined a gospel trio. The trio aired on radio shows and performed at several concerts and churches. They were very popular. Dolores performed in 1956 at the First Christian Church of Jenks, OK and met the young, widowed minister there, and it was love at first sight. Dolores ended her gospel career and married Donald E. White on Sept. 23, 1956. She remained by his side as the perfect minister’s wife, helped raise their children, Daniel, Rebecca and Mary, and was a devout grandmother to her 6 grandsons. Dolores was passionate in life about doing good for others and supported many of the same charitable organizations as her husband, Don. SPSFBC was one of those organizations. She continued to support this organization throughout her life and beyond the passing of her beloved Don. Dolores spent her lifetime putting others before herself, and this memorial has been created in her loving memory.
