Spring 2017

Dr. Holman went to Fayetteville High School, University of Central Arkansas, and Louisiana State University School of Dentistry.  He then worked with Dr. Kimbrough in Bentonville before starting his own practice in Centerton. He married Ashley in 2012 in New Orleans the week after they both graduated Dental School.  Shortly after, he luckily convinced her to move to Arkansas and be a Razorback fan.  They now live in Bentonville with their cat, Gus.

Dr. Holman is an active member in the American and Arkansas State Dental Associations as well as the Academy of General Dentistry. Recently, he became a member of the Bentonville/Bella Vista Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Holman was interested in dentistry from a very young age.  He was fascinated with all the equipment and how everything worked.  It also helped that he had some of the best and most caring dentists and dental teams growing up. He says, “I always felt comfortable going to the dentist and it never seemed like a chore.  If I could impart this on my patients along with providing for their complete oral health, I will feel like I’ve succeeded at my job.”

Dr. McCord, a Northwest Arkansas native, returned to the area after receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Oklahoma. During his senior year of dental school, he was awarded the Edward L. Wilson Award, which is given to the senior dental student who demonstrates compassion, dedication and enthusiasm in the field of dentistry. Dr. McCord and his team not only provide a wide range of dental care through modern amenities, a child-friendly environment and custom treatment plans, they are also active members of the community. In addition to the help he has given to the recipients of SPSBFC, Dr. McCord also is a volunteer dentist with the Samaritan Community Center in NWA and has been named Volunteer of the Year for that organization.

“Radical Generosity” is the mindset of Dr. McCord and his team at Mint Dental Care in Centerton. Their vision statement, “Our vision is to be the most community-driven dental office in the state of Arkansas through an abundance mindset and radical generosity”, solidifies Dr. McCord’s desire to provide quality dental care while making a positive impact on their community.

Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Benton County is grateful to Dr. Holman and Dr. McCord for their dedication to helping single parents and their families.  Between the two dentists, 20 individuals associated with SPSFBC have been helped since late 2016, translating to approximately $10,000 in services rendered. Businesses such as Holman Family Dentistry and Mint Dental Care are a huge asset to the recipients of SPSFBC as well as their children, and SPSFBC is very appreciative of their support!

Summer 2016

Dynamic retail marketing agency, TPN, was founded in 1984 in Dallas, by visionary marketer Roger Winter.  Mr. Winter, after unsuccessfully searching for an agency that could deliver great service, smart thinking, and big ideas, created TPN.  Then known as The Promotion Network, TPN was built on a solid foundation of retail and consumer insights, with a singular focus on helping to “make the buy happen” at retail.  Today, TPN has over 300 employees across 9 full-service offices in the US and UK, and is now part of the Omnicom network of agencies.

In the summer of 2014 the SPSFBC began working with John, Managing Director/Team Lead and the TPN Team in Chicago, IL, to come up with a website strategy.  John and the TPN team in Chicago also helped with the revamp of our brochures, folders and business cards.

One year later, in the summer of 2015, Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Benton County began the process of re-branding and once again John Meyer, along with his TPN team in Northwest Arkansas, which now has grown to seven employees, were there to help. John and Jason Hescott, Creative Director with TPN, worked diligently on designing SPSFBC’s new brand identity including a complete style guide with new logos, colors and fonts. In addition, they designed our new business cards, folders and brochures, and we might add that they did an incredible job! TPN has been a great corporate partner by sponsoring many of our events such as our Corporate Luncheon and our Student Benefit. John is a member of our Advisory Council, Board of Directors, and Marketing & Public Awareness Committee and also interviews our scholarship recipients. Hescott serves on our Marketing & Public Awareness Committee and was ASPSF March 2016 Volunteer of the Month.  SPSFBC is appreciative to have John Meyer and Jason Hescott serve on a few of our councils. Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Benton County extends much gratitude to TPN Retail, John Meyer and Jason Hescott for their hard work and time put into helping SPSFBC enter a new era of change.
